How Sweet Farm is Redefining What It Means to be a Sanctuary

Our planet is in a climate crisis. We’ve just crossed 8 billion people on the planet with two billion more on the way in the next three decades. Our food and climate future is not going to be secured solely in an office downtown. It’s going to happen out in the environment, with nimble and innovative support for the technologies that are making food and climate resiliency achievable.

It’s happening at Sweet Farm, the only land based non-profit engaging in climate education, plant-based regenerative agriculture, farm-animal rescue, and technology incubation to scale climate impact globally.

After moving across the country in 2021 from California to New York, Sweet Farm has begun rapidly expanding our programs and impact from our new location in the Finger Lakes.

It starts with our farm animal rescue and rehabilitation program, where compassion and sustainability intertwine. These rescued animals serve as ambassadors for animals like them that are in the food system, reminding us that there is a future of food where we live in harmony with nature. The future of food can be compassionate and sustainable.

And we don’t just talk about it at Sweet Farm - we’re all about getting dirt underneath our fingernails! Our plant-based regenerative agriculture program is where we grow fruits, vegetables and flowers. We use our agriculture fields to educate on sustainable agriculture practices and the power of growing plants. We expand this impact by donate the fresh food we grow back into our local community.

Lastly, our technology program is how we scale our impact globally. Sweet Farm works with innovative start-ups and entrepreneurs who are creating planet-saving technologies. We are heavily involved in the food-tech and ag-tech sectors. Climate action, sustainability and compassion are at the heart of everything we do at Sweet Farm.

Sweet Farm is committed to using our 50 acres to change the world. We’d love for you to join us.
