Our Story
About Sweet Farm
At Sweet Farm Foundation, we believe that compassion grows when we care for animals, for the land, and for each other. We rescue farm animals and wildlife, regeneratively grow vegetables for local families in need, and incubate tech start-ups whose ideas translate into real-world impact, creating healthier communities and a more resilient planet.
Sweet Farm was founded in Half Moon Bay, CA in 2015. After the California wildfires and drought became too real of a threat to the farm, we became the next in a growing community of environmental refugees and relocated our 120+ rescued farm animals to the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. Our new farm is over 50 acres, and has allowed us to expand our programs, provide a safe and loving home to more animals, grow more food for our local community and incubate more innovative start-ups working to create a better plant.

We rescue and rehabilitate farm animals from various tragic circumstances within the food system. These animal ambassadors spread the message that they deserve our compassion and respect. We also work to rescue and rehabilitate local wildlife.

Sustainable Living
Our educational programs promote the ease and joy of zero waste living. These include on-the-farm cooking demos and gardening classes, tastings, tours, special events, volunteer days, and community outreach, as well as online education and advocacy that reaches a global audience.
Sweet Farm offers hands-on agriculture-based programs to inspire people to bring greater compassion to how they source, prepare, and eat food. We celebrate biodiversity, growing heirloom, open-pollinated seeds using regenerative and sustainable methods.
Regenerative Agriculture
We partner with innovative start-ups in the food, agriculture, sustainability, and energy technology sectors to provide them with a diverse range of support, including access to funding, expanded networking, mentorship, product showcases, and promotion. We believe innovation is the key to true, global change.

Sweet Farm is home to more than 150 rescued animals, each one of whom has a unique and special story. You can also support them with a sponsorship that helps cover the costs of food, bedding, medical care, and the occasional treats.
Our Plants
Each year, Sweet Farm grows over 300 types of vegetables and flowers, with a focus on heirloom and open-pollinated varieties that preserve the biodiversity of our crops and agriculture at large. Our harvest is sold on the farm, to local restaurants, and donated to local families in need.
Our Technology
Sweet Farm works with some of the most innovative start-ups in the world, focused on disrupting our food, agriculture, sustainability, and planet-friendly technologies for the better. We provide support and guidance for fundraising, field trials, market fit, and scaling.
