Butterscotch was rescued from a goat dairy farm as a baby. Male goats are often slaughtered before one year old, as they are not useful in milk production. A kind family took him in to raise in their backyard, but when mountain lions moved into the neighborhood, Butterscotch was attacked and lost one of his brothers.

Sweet Farm took in Butterscotch and his surviving brother, Brownie, who sadly passed in 2022 after getting to spend many years frolicking together in our pastures with his beloved brother. Despite all his loss, Butterscotch is the sweetest and most affectionate goat you will ever meet, and is always the first to approach humans for pets. He is getting up there in years and has definitely slowed down quite a bit, but he is always available to receive a back rub.
