We have some heartwarming news to share just in time for Giving Tuesday and the Year of the Horse!
Sweet Farm recently welcomed two beautiful Icelandic horses to our sanctuary family.
Please welcome Pen and Lilla!
These gentle souls came from a kind local farmer who, after decades of caring for his animals, is retiring and significantly downsizing his farm. (This is such a common story, and one that starts the tales of many of the animals who now live at Sweet Farm.) Knowing that we would give them the safe, loving home they deserve, he asked if Sweet Farm had room for them.
Since bidding farewell to our beloved old man Sturgis, we desperately needed companions for his grieving partner, Brenda. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
