These friendly and majestic Icelandic horses were born on a local farm. After decades of caring for his beloved animals, the farmer was retiring and significantly downsizing his farm. (This is such a common story, and one that starts the tales of many of the animals who live at Sweet Farm.) Knowing that we would give them the safe, loving home they deserve, he asked if Sweet Farm had room for them.

Since bidding farewell to our inspiring and adored 42-year-old stallion, Sturgis, we desperately needed companions for his grieving partner, Brenda. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Brenda bonded with the ladies much more quickly than we expected, and we often catch them nibbling on each other as a sign of affection.
