Eight turkeys are about to have a very good month

At Sweet Farm, Thanksgiving looks a little different. Our turkeys aren’t on the table. They’re the guests of honor.

Meet the Turkey Team, eight turkeys with eight stories of second chances:

Callum was raised for a school FFA program and then abandoned there, until a teacher stepped in and discovered just how curious and caring turkeys can be.

Sam Peckett, a Chocolate heritage turkey, came to us from a kind local man who had been caring for him after Sam lost his companion. He believed Sam deserved a flock, and we agreed.

And when Sam needed a family of his own, we rescued Cessna, Kyle, and Turkey Lurkey. Today the four of them are the cutest little family on the farm.

Brenda, Larry, and Butternut were rescued from factory farms, where turkeys like them are killed at just 14 weeks old.

Every one of them is safe here for life. And the whole month of November, you’ll have the chance to be part of their story. Keep an eye on your inbox!
