Sweet Farm’s Farm Cart Is Growing Into Something Bigger
We’re excited to share that the farm cart in front of our Sweet Farm Provisions store in Penn Yan, NY is now serving as a community farm and garden share.
It’s a simple way to show gratitude for abundance, reduce waste, and help more neighbors enjoy fresh, local goodness.
A place for sharing plenty
Alongside the heirloom, regeneratively grown produce Sweet Farm offers through our farm stand and farm cart, we welcome you to add your garden wealth as well!
If your garden is overflowing, your herbs are growing faster than you can use them, or you simply have extra produce to pass along, we invite you to add your surplus to the cart. Whether it’s a handful of tomatoes, a bundle of greens, a few (or a lot of) zucchini, or flowers from your garden, your contribution helps create a more nourished, connected, and generous community.
This farm and garden share is about more than food. It’s about neighbors supporting neighbors, making fresh produce more accessible, and honoring the spirit of sustainability that guides Sweet Farm’s work every day.
How it works
Stop by the cart in front of Sweet Farm Provisions on Main Street in Penn Yan, and share what you have to offer. Please only leave items that are fresh, clean, and in good condition so they can be enjoyed by others. If you see something you can use, feel free to take what you need and leave a donation if you are able.
A few ideas for contributions include:
Fresh vegetables and herbs
Cut flowers
Fruit from your trees
Berries, rhubarb, or other perennials that grow in abundance
Extras from a particularly optimistic farmer’s market trip
Join the sharing circle
