Franklin was rescued in March 2019 with his best friend, Martin. They were both bummer lambs on a wool farm, rejected by their mothers at birth. We took them in with open arms.

Franklin passed in 2022.

Martin came to us from a wool farm as one of two “bummer” lambs, meaning they were rejected by their mothers and couldn’t nurse. They both grew into wonderful, sweet boys whose genetics were against them.

Martin was reunited with his best friend Franklin in 2025.

She escaped as a piglet from a factory farm with her bestie, Spuds, and survived in the Santa Cruz mountains for 3 weeks! We rescued Sweet Pea (and Spuds) in 2019.

Sweet Pea passed in 2021.

Brownie was saved from a dairy farm with his two brothers by a family who meant well. After a mountain lion killed one of his brothers in 2017, Sweet Farm rescued Brownie and his remaining brother, Butterscotch. The two spent every day and night together since then.

Brownie passed in 2022.

Found on the side of the road with a sheep named Jupiter, Sweet Farm rescued Juno (and Jupiter) in 2017. The two were bonded until Jupiter's passing in 2019. Juno loved people and had the sweetest heart.

Fozzy was rescued with his best buddy Ziggy from a retired pig farmer in 2022. He was already quite old when Sweet Farm rescued him, but we gave him as many good months as we could. He loved snacks and mud wallows.

Fozzy passed in 2023.

Found near Sweet Farm's old property in California, where he'd bully passing cars, we finally rescued Bruno in 2019 after years of trying. He was full of personality and spunk, but he truly loved attention.

Bruno passed in 2022.

Nibblets was rescued from a live market in California, with sweet Hoover who loved her every single day since then. It’s how she gained the nickname “Mama Goat,” as she mothered all of the younger goats for the rest of her life.

Nibblets passed in 2023.

Ethel was rescued with two other turkeys who were an abandoned FFA project. She loved affection from the moment we rescued her, and has taught thousands of people how special and loving turkeys are.

Ethel passed in 2024.

Astrid had a very difficult beginning, losing her baby during birth and being thrown out by the butcher who owned her. Luckily she was found and rescued, and lived out her days in peace with her best friend, Greta.

Astrid passed in 2024.

Hoover was rescued with Nibblets from a live market in California as companions for Alfie, our first goat rescue. Sick and emaciated, Hoover began eating (hence his name) and food was always his comfort and safety...as was Alfie.

Elliot came from a neglect case, where he was fed nothing but bread and corn for 2 years and was massively overweight when he was rescued. He lost 120 lbs in our care and we tried to give him the best life we could in his advanced years.

Elliot passed in 2025.

Sturgis was the first large animal ever rescued by Sweet Farm. He could no longer be cared for, was stuck in a muddy pasture, and had numerous medical issues. He made an incredible recovery and got another TEN years of life and love at Sweet Farm with his best friend, Gizmo the Hereford steer.
