We have 6 cats who live in our barn - Monster, Midnight, Jolly Roger, Pomegranate, Penny, and Keuka…and two new kittens: Frankie and Grub! Being in a rural area, there are always lots and lots of cats around. Some of our barn cats were dumped on our property, and some just showed up. The six who live in our big barn are supplied with food, clean water, flea & tick prevention, vaccines, regular vet care, and litterboxes in the safe places in the barn. They have cat doors in and out of the barn and the heated/cooled office, in addition to having their own stall with cat trees, beds, and a heater!

Population control is a huge issue for all companion animals. We are always working to trap and neuter every cat we can, and we put out food and warm sleeping places for all the ferals who are around. When the strays we trap are friendly enough, we either find them homes or our local Humane Society takes them in order to do that. 1.4 MILLION cats are euthanized every year because they do not have homes. Please spay and neuter your pets!
